Leif Wikner Pine Wood Table Lamp: Signed Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern Design

Signed Leif Wikner table lamp in hand-carved Swedish pine, produced in Persåsen Kövra during the 1970s. A highly collectible example of Scandinavian studio craft, sculpted from solid pine and covered in Wikner's signature geometric carving that turns the natural grain into a hypnotic optical surface.
The defining feature is a band of translucent red resin set into the shade. When the lamp is lit, the resin glows a deep crimson, like a hidden ember suspended inside the wood, while the carved facets cast warm patterned shadows across the surrounding walls. Every angle reveals a different interplay of texture, light and colour, making the piece as much a sculptural object as a working light.
Hand-signed by the artist and crafted in Sweden, it brings together Nordic folk art, brutalist form and organic modernism — the qualities for which Wikner became known. A rare statement piece for collectors of Scandinavian design, studio craft and mid-century interiors.
