Hand-made stoneware wall plaque by Swedish ceramicist Willi Fischer. A stylised fish modelled in raised relief glows in blue and grey-green glaze against a deep, almost black mottled ground, with small wave motifs in the corners. The thick, characterful glaze and hand-built feel are typical of Fischer's mid-century studio work.
Hand-signed "Fischer" on the reverse, with the original leather cord for hanging. A striking single piece for a kitchen, hallway or nautical-themed wall.
