A hand-made ceramic wall plaque by the Swedish studio ceramicist Curt Magnus Addin (1931–2007), created in his own workshop in Glumslöv, southern Sweden. Addin studied at Konstfack in Stockholm and is recognised as one of Sweden's distinctive post-war studio potters, known for his expressive stoneware work with bold glazes and strong tactile character.
The plaque depicts a plump bird nestled among leaves on a branch, modelled in confident relief against a cross-hatched textured ground. The glazes are warm and earthy – amber, cream, olive green and slate grey – with the subtle luster and slight variations that mark genuine hand-crafted studio work. Hand-signed on the front with the initials CH.A; the maker's stamp Curt M. Addin is impressed on the reverse.
A collectible piece for anyone who appreciates Scandinavian studio ceramics – equally at home in a hallway, kitchen, living room or modernist interior.
